ORE+PROS Inc. supplies temporary metallurgical and operations support professionals to the mineral and metal processing industry to support their operations and projects. Our mission is to provide competent and proven staff on an on-demand basis to support our clients’ operations. GEOLOGIST

Orepros

Orepros is in need of a Geologist for one of his clients located in the Nunavik Geological work to be completed directly at the exploration camp as well as the warehouse in Schefferville, Qc.

Principales tâches

 

Under the supervision of the Vice-President Resource Geology & Minerology, the role involves fieldwork, data collection and interpretation, geological mapping, drill core logging, sampling and computer modelling, with a specific focus on rare earth mineralization. The role will provide quality control of data and work,
while respecting Health & Safety protocols in the field, including a remote camp, making geological interpretations and program planning.

 

Exigences

• University degree in geology or a related field (M.Sc. an asset).
• Registered membership as a Professional Geologist.
• Experience of at least three (3) years in geology or related field.
• Understanding of fundamental exploration disciplines, including structural geology, geochemistry, and geophysical methods.
• Excellent spoken and written English language skills required; bilingualism is considered an asset.

The ideal Geologist candidat we are looking for:

• Ability to work effectively at a variety of scales and guide exploration activities and evaluations at continent, district, or deposit scales.
• Proven commitment to workplace health & safety.
• High proficiency with geological modelling software and standard computer platforms, including Microsoft 365.
• Availability to work on rotation schedule and live on-site in a remote exploration camp.

• Salary starting at $80,000
